The first day of the trip is spent crossing France. We take advantage of one of the rest stops to take a walk for a couple of hours in Arles, where its Roman theater and amphitheater, the cathedral and the Place de la République stand out.
We continue our route across Italy. We arrive at lunchtime in Venice. We will spend the afternoon touring the Grand Canal by vaporetto, visiting St. Mark's Square and strolling through the most interesting places in the city.
We finally arrived in Croatia. The first city we visit is Rijeka, highlighting its historic center, full of modernist palaces and the Korzo. We dedicate the afternoon to our first swim in one of the Croatian beaches.
We get up early to enter the Plitvice National Park first thing in the morning. The excursion through the lakes and waterfalls of the park is one of the highlights of the trip. Before dinner we take a short walk through the tourist area of Zadar.
We enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we make a first stop at the spectacular Kravica waterfalls. The rest of the day we visit the old town of Mostar, recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
First day of visit to Dubrovnik. We start with Stradun or Placa, the main street, with the Clock Tower, the Sponza Palace and the Church of St. Blaise. We also visit places like the cathedral or the Franciscan convent.
We spend the morning touring the walls of Dubrovnik. We head north towards Split. Halfway we take a swim at the famous Nugal beach. With the last light of day, we take some pictures at Punta Rata.
During the morning we tour the old town of Trogir. Next, we swim at Slatine beach, located on the island of Čiovo. Finally, we discover the historic core of Split and the Diocletian's Palace.
In the morning we visited the Dalmatian town of Šibenik, with its St. James Cathedral, Republic Square and fortresses. In the afternoon, we walk along the trails that run between the waterfalls of Krka National Park.
We begin our tour of the island in the town of Vrbnik. Then we go to the beach of Oprna Bay in Stara Baška. After passing by the walls of Krk, we drive to the town of Pula on the Istrian peninsula.
We end our tour of Croatia by visiting three towns on the Istrian peninsula: Pula and its famous Roman ruins, Rovinj and Porec. We enter Italy, stopping for dinner next to the Arena in Verona.
